# Register New Agent or Manager

> Register a new <a href='https://docs.rocket.chat/use-rocket.chat/omnichannel/agents' target='_blank'>agent</a> or <a href='https://docs.rocket.chat/use-rocket.chat/omnichannel/managers' target='_blank'>manager</a>.
Permission required:
* If the `type` is `agent`: `manage-livechat-agents`.
* If the `type` is `manager`: `manage-livechat-managers`.

Requests without the required permission return a `403` response.
