# Messages Engagement

With the **Messages Engagement API**, you can:

- View the number of messages sent within a specific time duration.
- View the most popular channels by the number of messages sent.
- You can also view the origin of messages sent during a specific period.

On the workspace UI, this information is available on the [Messages](https://docs.rocket.chat/docs/engagement#view-messages-metrics) tab in the **Administration** > **Workspace** > **Engagement** section.
